The Communications European Journal of Communication Research is an academic journal dedicated to communication science and research, providing a platform for academic discussions and exchanges from a European perspective. This journal covers various aspects of communication science, including subfields such as interpersonal communication, cross-cultural communication, mass communication, communication theory, communication philosophy, media history, media development, and communication technology. It is published by DE GRUYTER MOUTON on a quarterly basis.

The submission requirements for Communications European Journal of Communication Research include: the article should be original work, not published elsewhere or submitted in other languages, and should not be submitted to other journals simultaneously. The manuscript should be submitted to the editor via email and written in English. Non native English speakers should have their manuscripts reviewed by native English speakers before submission. Non English examples must have corresponding line by line annotations and authentic translations. The article format should follow the guidelines of the 5th edition (2001) of the American Psychological Association Publication Manual. Manuscripts that do not comply with the APA guidelines will be returned to the author without review.
