、The Journal of Ethnology is an academic journal dedicated to the field of ethnology, with the main objective of promoting teaching, research, and knowledge dissemination in the field of ethnology in Quebec and other regions of Canada. The magazine was founded in 1979, initially named Canadian Folklore Canadien, and later renamed Ethnology in 1998 to reflect its bilingual nature and appeal to numerous ethnologists from different countries. The plural form of magazine titles also reflects the diversity and broad research areas of the discipline. Ethnology brings together various research methods through thematic questions and features diverse cover illustrations provided by contemporary Canadian artists.
