AJIL Unbound "is an online academic journal published by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the American Society of International Law. It is a supplement to the American Journal of International Law (AJIL). AJIL Unbound focuses on publishing short, concise, and original articles on the development of international public and private law, presented in a style that can be understood by international law decision-makers, practitioners, and students.

The content of this journal is fully open access, meaning that all readers can immediately read published articles for free. AJIL Unbound aims to expand and diversify academic exchanges that begin on AJIL pages, and introduce new academic dialogues through online means. In addition, the publication of AJIL Unbound has received support from Cambridge University Press and is associated with the American Society of International Law. The journal covers a wide range of topics, including international law, human rights, treaties, general data protection regulations, pandemics, international courts, customary international law, accountability, democracy, false information, conservative government, soft law, and the use of force.
